FAQ

Frequently asked questions about anelo.

Does anelo require an internet connection?

The desktop app runs entirely offline after installation. No internet connection is needed for processing. The Pro tier cloud features require internet for uploading and downloading, but all local processing works offline.

Can I use anelo commercially?

Yes. There are no restrictions on commercial use of output produced by anelo. You own your output. The free desktop tier has no watermarks and no commercial use limitations.

What happens to my footage?

On the desktop tier, your footage never leaves your machine. All processing runs locally on your GPU. On the Pro tier, cloud uploads are job-scoped — your files are uploaded for processing and deleted after the job completes. anelo does not retain, analyze, or use your footage for any purpose beyond the processing you requested.

Can I process photos (not just video)?

Yes. anelo accepts individual image files (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP) in addition to video containers. The pipeline skips video-only stages (frame extraction, interpolation) and runs the remaining stages on the single image.

What is a recipe?

A recipe is a saved pipeline configuration — which stages are enabled, what model to use for each, and what parameters are set. Recipes let you apply the same processing to different sources without reconfiguring each time.

How do I update anelo?

The desktop app checks for updates on launch (if online). You can also download the latest version from the download page. Updates preserve your recipes and settings.

Is there a CLI or API?

The Studio tier includes API access for programmatic processing. The desktop app does not currently have a CLI, but a headless processing mode is planned.
